BELTED LOW SUEDE

In the 1970s, the leather upper by the vulcanizing method was not durable due to the incompatibility of rubber adhesion. As a countermeasure, a cotton herringbone tape was wrapped around the upper in a belt-like shape and bonded to the upper. ASAHI has found design and durability again in this former technique. Suede (natural leather) is used for the upper.
